What we are looking for?
As an Mechanical or Electrical Programme Planner at Hopkins, you will play a crucial role in interpreting main contractor programmes, applying logical synergy to our programme of works, and ensuring that our projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule. Your expertise in drafting labour histograms and identifying optimal resourcing and labour needs will be key to the success of our projects.
This role is best suited to either, someone who has developed a similar skill set whilst working in a likeminded role, or someone who has been exposed to other areas of the project lifecycle and wishes to change the direction of their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyse main contractor work schedules to align with M&E project timelines.
- Apply logical synergy to the overall programme of works to ensure seamless integration of M&E services.
- Draft and maintain labour histograms to forecast and manage workforce requirements.
- Identify and plan for the demand of optimal resourcing and labour needs to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient project delivery.
- Utilise industry-related software, including Asta Power Project and Microsoft Project, to develop and manage project schedules.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve project planning and execution.
Skills & Experience:
- A strong understanding of the construction industry, with experience in the M&E sector preferred but not essential.
- Experience working with industry-related software such as Asta Power Project and Microsoft Project.
- Prior experience in a site-based role is beneficial, with consideration given to candidates looking to transition from site work.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply logical thinking to complex project plans.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
- Good understanding of NEC 3 or 4 contracts and how the CE process operates
